Paseos en barco en Concón

We booked a day of diving before our visit to Chile. Daniel picked us up from our hostel in Valparaiso, had all equipment prepared for us and we went off with the boat to visit two small wreck dive sites in the Valpo bay area.Amazing and friendly guy, always with a smile 🙂 I highly recommend checking this shop out. We arranged for recreational gear to keep things simple, but technical gear is available; even closed circuit training.Cheers!

Super professionals, and at the same time super friendly! Daniel, the owner, is very acknowledgeable keeping a balance between safety, that came always first during our two dives and having really good fun. The equipment was excellent, the dive plan precise and clear and the dive itself well guided. The dive center offers a variety of possibilities for diving, from recreational to tech and rebreather according to your certification. If we had more time I would definitely explore the Pacific a little bit more with these guys! Excellent job!

While visiting Valparaiso during our trip to Chile, we could not leave the country without visiting these seabed. As diving was not the goal of our trip, we did not have any diving equipment with us. Daniel, very attentive and professional, has prepared all the equipment necessary for our dives ( tek and recreational). Everything is prepared in his dive shop in Concón then he takes us to his boat in Valparaiso. Very little portage of material, and little navigation because the dive sites are close. The proposed sites were good, the dive conditions were like the ones we have in France un Atlantic. The prices of dives and rentals are reasonable. I recommend Daniel if you wish to dive and discover the bay of Valparaiso, for tek diving or recreational diving

Let me tell you about my adventure with "Tamarugo Dive": First of all, the owner of this dive shop, Daniel Malfanti retired after 20+ years of service as a Chilean Navy Seal. He then decided to take the teaching and diving skills he knew so well and make it his 2nd career. Although Daniel teaches everything from basic through advanced, this is the most "technical diving" shop I have seen so far as a scuba diver. All his rental gear is in top-notch condition. He rents everything from conventional scuba gear to scooters and rebreathers. The rental rates are very reasonable.We originally met primarily because I speak little Spanish and needed a bilingual scuba instructor to teach me the speciality of "dry suit" scuba diving. After a morning of classroom instruction we agreed to meet the next morning to go diving and apply my new instruction. We met at his dive shop in Concón and drove together to Valparaíso, where he has a boat. His boat resembles something you would see in a Navy Seals movie. A Zodiac. (I have a vivid imagination, so on the boat ride out to the sunken ship we were going to visit that morning I could easily imagine going along on a SEAL mission - minus the armament, smile). There were two other divers along and Daniel supervised all of us. As a PADI certified Master Scuba diver, I have never been treated with so much attention to ensure my care and safety. I can report to you that in addition to being one of the coolest dudes you could ever meet, Daniel is also a kind and thoughtful gentleman. I would recommend him to anyone who wants scuba instruction (on any level), rental gear or just a great divemaster to supervise your underwater exploration in the Viña/Valparaíso area.
